I have always been frustrated by review sites and magazines which claim to have reviews but in fact are just advertisements for the products.  I like “gear” of many kinds and typically research my buys carefully.  I spend money on gear that performs to a level consistent with the price.  I am not a price is no object buyer.

I post reviews of things that I own and will comment on other items which I compared.  Everyone has different budgets and value product capabilities differently.  I will do my best to explain my criteria so that you can judge a purchase yourself.
